How do you renew a book online>?
Renewing a book online is fast and easy. Visit us at www.nileslibrary.org and you will see a "My Account" link at the top right-hand corner of the page. Once you click that link, you will enter your library card number and if you have not created a password, then your default password would be "patron". Once you log in, you can update and personalize your password. You will then see a screen that has a link somewhere at the top that says "Checkouts". Clicking there will take you to a list of what is checked out to your account and you can click the little box next to each item that you're looking to renew. After you've selected what you'd like to renew, click the "renew" button. If things won't renew, there are a few different reasons why. 1.) You may have used up all available renewals already. 2.) There may be a holds list of patrons waiting for this item. 3.) Your fines might be above $10.00. If you run into any problems or you're uncomfortable with the online process, please call us at 847-663-1234, and we can check your account and renew your items with just your card number in a matter of minutes!
